In November 2025, Canada's manufacturing sales experienced a month-on-month decline of 1.2%, reaching C$70.8 billion. This follows a 1% decrease in October and slightly exceeds market forecasts of a 1.1% drop. Declines were observed in 15 of the 21 subsectors, with notable reductions in motor vehicles (-15.9%), motor vehicle parts (-6.3%), and machinery (-3.2%). However, these downsides were partially mitigated by increases in petroleum and coal products, which rose by 6.8%. Sales across eight provinces saw decreases, with Ontario and British Columbia experiencing the most significant reductions of 2.0% and 3.0%, respectively. When assessed on a year-over-year basis, total manufacturing sales in November declined by 1.1%.
